ORD, Neb. – Last week, Ethan Clark, a candidate for the Nebraska State Legislature in the 41st Legislative District, officially applied for the open seat vacated by Senator Tom Briese.
“I am pleased to say that I have officially submitted materials to Governor Jim Pillen’s office to apply for the open seat in LD41,” said Clark.
“Since the launch of my campaign in February, I have worked tirelessly to meet with voters and community leaders across the district to listen to the issues they are facing. Based on these conversations, I know I am qualified to represent District 41 and be their voice in the Legislature.”
Through his efforts, Clark has knocked on over 3,000 voters’ doors, attended events in every county in the district, and received multiple endorsements. These endorsements include State Attorney General Mike Hilgers, Former State Treasurer John Murante, State Senator Beau Ballard, State Senator Mike Jacobsen, State Senator John Lowe, State Senator Loren Lippincott, State Senator Rita Sanders, State Senator Julie Slama, Public Service Commissioner Dan Watermeier, Ord Mayor Jeramy Sedlacek, Former State Senator Andrew La Grone, and the Nebraska Federation of Young Republicans.
“I want to congratulate Senator Briese on being selected by Governor Pillen to become our next State Treasurer and thank him for his service to District 41,” said Clark.
“Throughout his career at the Legislature, Senator Briese has been a staunch advocate for fiscal responsibility, and I will do the same.”
Clark will continue to campaign for the position regardless of the results of the appointment process.
Legislative District 41 includes Boone, Greeley, Howard, Sherman, Wheeler, and Valley counties and portions of Buffalo County and Hall County.
